Plumber in Pentwyn for 1970s Home Upgrades

Last updated: 7 October 2026

Rimko Plumbing Ltd is your local plumber in Pentwyn. Our business is based in north-east Cardiff, so Pentwyn and neighbouring Llanedeyrn are right on our doorstep. That means quicker visits, easier follow-ups and a team who know the houses here well.

Most of Pentwyn was built in the 1970s and 1980s. Many homes still have original pipework, radiators and bathroom layouts, and those parts are now reaching the end of their working life.

Why Pentwyn Homes Need a Good Local Plumber

After forty or fifty years, older radiators can rust from the inside, valves seize and push-fit or compression joints start to weep. A slow leak under a bath or behind a toilet can go unnoticed for months. As your plumber in Pentwyn, we track down these leaks, replace worn valves and swap tired radiators for efficient modern ones.

We also see a lot of original bathrooms with small baths, shower-over-bath setups and dated tiling. A full refit, or swapping the bath for a large shower enclosure, can make a big difference in a smaller bathroom.

Bathroom Refits for Pentwyn Houses

The bathrooms in many Pentwyn homes are compact, so layout matters. We can move the toilet or basin, fit a space-saving vanity unit and install a quadrant shower enclosure where it suits the room best. We take care of the stripping out, the new pipework and fitting the suite, then leave everything clean and tidy.
